Viking lives matter, and so do Hindu, Tibetan, Zoroastrian traditions, and we are petitioning for our right to sacred open-air fires and sky burials with proper land zoning, reclamation, and careful discernment.
The Viking ship burial, as most people picture it, doesn’t work.
A body on an open boat. Light it. Push it out. It looks beautiful in the movies.
In real life, there is no guarantee an open fire does get hot enough or burn long enough to finish the job. What’s left is remains, heavy smoke, and pollution. That’s not honor. That’s a mess someone else has to clean up.
It can be fixed.
Build it right. A proper chamber holds the heat. A reclamation chimney with an afterburner burns off the smoke before it leaves the stack. The fire stays sacred. The air stays clean.
One of our helpers drew the first concept: a Viking-style ship with a cremation chamber on deck and a tall chimney with a second afterburner chamber.
It’s possible. Help us build it.
Fire burial is older than any funeral home. Families should be able to choose it, do it safely, and not go into debt.
