HOSANNA HIGH NATURAL BURIAL PROJECT

Revolutionizing the Future of Funerals

A season of remembrance, reflection, and new beginnings

As October ends and All Saints’ Day arrives on November 1, the season shifts from Halloween’s ghosts to something quieter and more lasting: remembering the people who shaped us. Every family and every town has someone whose love or kindness still echoes. At Hosanna High, we believe those memories can also shape how we think about the lives we lead and the ground we return to.

A Different Kind of Halloween

Beyond costumes and spooky stories, this season invites us to reflect on life, death, and remembrance. Across cultures and traditions, people honor loved ones through prayer, cemetery visits, shared memories, and quiet reflection.

This month, we encourage you to visit a cemetery, share a favorite story, or take a moment to remember someone who helped shape your life. Behind every name is a story worth remembering.

An Invitation to Remember

Every life has a story. Every story deserves to be remembered.

If you have a story to share with us about your life or someone you love please share. We are collecting words and pearls of wisdom to create a “River of Life Documentary,” true, timeless, and free.

Your words don’t need to be polished. We’re not looking for perfect — we’re looking for real.

Reply to this email or visit letsbetrees.org and send us a message. Every voice we gather becomes part of something that outlasts all of us.

Regardless, take a moment to call a loved one, record a family story, visit a cemetery, or begin a conversation about the legacy you hope to leave.

What Will Grow From Your Life?

Like seeds that grow into trees, our actions can leave a lasting impact. What will future generations say about you and your time spent here?

We believe natural burial offers a way to share our connection to the earth, allowing the body to feed the planet. Our goal is to advance awareness of natural burial, encourage nonprofit end-of-life choices, and support options that honor both human dignity and the natural world.

Growing Together

This newsletter and much more are the work of our international network of Volunteers and FWS paid interns who support this mission from Brazil, New Zealand, and across the United States. Their work in communications, fundraising, administration, outreach, and community engagement helps bring our mission to make funerals affordable to every family.

We are forever grateful for the Gen Z generation that is stepping up to fix this broken system. If you are a college student, you could get paid through FWS to help bring a nonprofit cemetery to your community.

Would you like to help this mission? We have a job for everyone because every county in every state needs a nonprofit cemetery. We are grateful to everyone who contributes their time and talents to help this mission grow.

Meet our growing Board of Directors.

Sincerely,
Let’s be trees.

I love this!! Respect for our loved ones who are not with us anymore but who have shaped our lives and live on in our hearts are the most valuable things in life. I miss each of my family and friends who have gone before me.
